Steven James Howell - February 24th 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Steven Howell after a sudden, brief illness in his 59th year.
Steven is predeceased by his father, Mel Howell and survived by his Mother, Ruth Ann, and his sisters, Tracie (John), Lisa and Angela.
Steven was a kind, uncomplicated man who loved his family, friends, cats and his career.
Steven started working for Horseshoe Valley Ski Resort when he was 16 years old and spent his career there forging lifelong friendships with his work family.
For many years, Steven spent his winters working for Horseshoe resort making snow and grooming trails and his summers with his second work family, tending to the grounds at Settlers Ghost golf course.
Spending his time in the great outdoors and being surrounded by the beauty of the Valley was where he chose to make his living.
Steven was an athlete and throughout his lifetime, played hockey, lacrosse, baseball and golf. He had the privilege of playing on many successful teams over the years.
Steven, like his father before him, was an avid fan of music and could be found regularly playing his many guitars.
Steven lived his life simply and was a happy man, a great son, the best brother and a good friend to many.
Cremation has already taken place and a celebration of Steven's life will take place in early summer at the Edgar Community Hall.
If anyone wishes to make a donation to a charity of their choosing in Steven's memory, he would be humbled and honoured .
