JACOX, Grahame Garnett

Died Feb. 4, 2023, after a brief illness surrounded by members of his family at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital. He was 63 years old. Grahame lived a happy and complete life despite challenges presented him from a premature birth. Born May 31, 1959, in Welland, Ont., he tackled any roadblocks without hesitation and grew up to be a fiercely independent person, always looking forward to his next goal. Grahame lived most of his life in Orillia where he lived in his own apartment, held a steady job and drove around town in his prized Mercedes. He worked for 32 years in the maintenance department at Kubota. He loved his job and approached it with enthusiasm and seriousness. Grahame was an avid traveller, but for him it was not the destination, but the means. He was fascinated by airplanes (he once flew on the Concorde) and got such a thrill by visiting first-class lounges at airports around the world. Grahame is survived by his mother Nancy, sisters Susan and Jill (Peter), brother Jeff, nephews Andrew and Matthew, and by niece Emma (Matthew). Grahame is predeceased by his father Gordon. A funeral will be held Feb. 17 at St. Paul’s in Washago at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment to follow at a later date. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mundellfuneralhome.com
