It is with profound sadness that the family wishes to advise that Nelson Garfield Johnson, born October 6,1941 in Bracebridge, Ontario, passed away at home, Amica Little Lake, Barrie, on Monday, May 23,2022 in his 81st year. Predeceased by the love of his life Agnes Johnson (nee Merkley).
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Suzanne Lemire, son-in-law, Michael, grandchildren Christopher (Emilee), Matthew, Jacob and Rachael and son, Nelson.
Predeceased by his parents Angus and Louise Johnson and siblings Donald, Phyllis and Evelyn. Survived by his siblings Margaret, Jeanne and John (Bernice).
Many deep and heartfelt thanks to the staff at Amica for taking such great care of him and loving him like he was their family. Special mention to Brianna, his primary caregiver, for the last 4 years. The family will forever be grateful for your care and compassion at such a difficult time.
Family and friends are invited to meet the family at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia on Sunday, May 29th, 2022, from 4 pm until time of Funeral Service at 6 pm. Reception to follow. Cremation and interment to take place at a later date.
