Johnstone, Cecil James Clarke
At his home on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in his 86th year, Cecil Johnstone beloved husband of Jessie Johnstone. Loving father of Clayton Johnstone and Marilyn (Belay) Ayele. Dear brother of Barbara (the late Herb) Young, the late Gwen (Phil) Stubley. Much loved grandfather of Marcus. Cecil will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cecil grew up and attended school in Orillia. He was a retired Architectural Technologist for Sutin Associates and Anthony Butler Architecture . He was involved in many building projects from the 1960’s – 1980’s in the Hamilton area. Cecil was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, St. George and was involved in many aspects of the church and was a member of Cursillo of the Niagara, Huron Diocese. He had a tremendous sense of humour and was a “pun master”. He loved singing, drawing, painting, design and was a CFL Football fan.
Family and friends will be received at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 2 Andrew Street, St. George on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Service in the Church on Monday at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment at St. George Cemetery. If wished memorial donations to Stedman Community Hospice, the Parkinson Canada, Cystic Fibrosis Canada or Holy Trinity Anglican Church gratefully appreciated.
