Joseph, Ronald Ray (Ron)

April 8,1950 to May 2,2023

It is with profound sadness and a broken heart to announce the passing of Ron, my husband, partner and very best friend, after a lengthy illness.

I will truly miss his great sense of humor and wit and his ability to make me laugh everyday.

Ron, a proud member of the Brooklin Hunt Club, loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many years of boating on Lake Simcoe.

He had taken up the game of golf again over the past few years and looked forward to his weekly outings with the men's Bayshore golf group.

Beloved son of Jean(predeceased) and Edmund (predeceased).

Loving brother to Jeannie (Rick), Joy (Jules), Lanny (Elizabeth), Ed (predeceased) and Roy (predeceased)

Son-in-law of Adam and Evelyn.

Brother-in-law of Roslyn, Wayne, Terri, Kelly and Gwen.

Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He will be sadly missed by anyone who knew him.

Celebration of Life will be held May 25,2023 from 1 to 4 p.m. at 1 Hayloft Lane- Bayshore Village, Brechin, Ontario.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the CNIB Guide Dog Assist Fund or the Salvation Army through Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street, Orillia, Ontario.

"I wanted you for life, you and me in the wind

I never thought there'd come a time our story would end

It's hard to understand, but I guess I'll have to try

It's not easy to say goodbye

For all the joy we shared, all the time we had to spend

Now if I had one wish, I'd want forever back again

To look into your eyes and hold each other when we cried

It's not easy to say goodbye

I remember all the great times we had

So many memories, some good some bad

Yes, and through it all, those memories will last forever

There's peace in where you are, maybe all I need to know

And if I listen to my heart, I'll hear your laughter once more

And so I have to say I'm so glad you came my way

It's not easy to say goodbye.

My love always and forever

Bev
