Of Severn Twsp., peacefully on December 18, 2018 following a brief stay in hospital.  Cherished and devoted husband to Helen for 46 years.  Predeceased by his parents, William H. Keller and Violet Brown, and by his sons, Bruce and Ross. Dearly beloved uncle and great-uncle to many and grandfather to Lauren.  Bill was a long-time high-school educator who taught a variety of subjects from botany and biology to music and visual arts, at ODCVI and Twin Lakes Secondary School.  He took an avid interest in horticulture and agriculture and for many years wrote a gardening column for The Orillia Packet & Times. Beyond his profession as a teacher Bill was a student of life.  He delighted in connecting with young people and always expressed a fervent interest in their education and career interests.  He will be remembered by so many for so much -  his ability to converse knowledgeably on any subject with anyone, at any time; the joy he drew from his small plane; a composition on his harmonica; his love of breakfast milk with rum, or a happy-hour martini; and above all, his colourful stories and commentary. Our family expresses its deep gratitude to all friends and relatives who supported Bill and Helen over many years to remain in the house he designed and built.  Special thanks to the OSMH medical team on the IMSR1 unit for their professional and compassionate care. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Church of  the Guardian Angels, Orillia on Saturday morning, December 22nd at 11 o'clock.  Reception to follow at the church hall. A private interment for family will follow the reception. If desired, charitable donations may be made in memory of Bill to the charity of your choice. As Bill loved to say, Keep the Faith!
