Passed peacefully at Mariposa House Hospice in Orillia on Thursday June 17, 2021 at the age of 86. George was born to John and Evelyn Kerr in Toronto on March 4, 1935. He grew up in the East end of Toronto attending Riverdale Collegiate. George married the love of his life Shirley (Nee:Hayward) in 1961. In their 60 years together they had 3 children; Fred, John, and Kimberley (Darrin) Smith, and 2 granddaughters Fiona and Katelyn. George and Shirley lost their son John at the age of 6 to cancer. Brother to 4 sisters, he is survived by Patricia and Joan and predeceased by Peggy and Linda. George was a proud member of Local 30 Toronto Sheet Metal Workers and was an avid golfer who enjoyed his time living at his cottage on Lake Simcoe and the wonderful time with his family. Cremation has taken place.
