Passed away peacefully at the Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Orillia, on Wednesday, June 5th, 2019, in his 92nd year. John Lahay, beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Beers). Loving father of John Lahay and wife Cheryl Gofton of Orillia, James"Jim" Lahay and wife Wendy Allison of Mississauga, and Jerrold Lahay of Orillia. Also loved by his grandchildren Ryan, Meghan, Madison, Christopher, Simon, Jason, Jessica, Jennifer, Jerrold Jr., Chrystal Ann, Aaron and great grandfather of Justus, Damone and Xavier. Dear brother of Bruce Lahay & wife Millie, Margaret Orr & husband Eric and Eva Lahay all predeceased, Edward Lahay & wife Audrey of Whitby, Bob Lahay of Orillia & his wife Muriel predeceased and Gail Schell & husband Ivan of Orillia. The late Mr. John Lahay will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia, on Sunday from 2 - 5 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday morning, June 10th, at 11:00 am. Reception to follow. Interment to take place at St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia, Monday at 1 pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
