It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved mother passed away on May 28th at Victoria House Orillia. We are comforted to know that she is safe in the arms of her Savior. Beloved wife of the late John Lucas (predeceased 2007) Dearly loved mother of George and Betty, Linda and Mark Mallette, Rita Prins, Annette and Bernie Smit and Harry and Christine. She will be sadly missed by 23 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Oldest sister of Fem, Dien (predeceased), Janny and Mina (predeceased) and sister in law of Gerrit all from the Netherlands and brother in law Gary and Emmy Lucas. Diane and John came to Canada from the Netherands in 1950 after they married to realize their dreams in "the promised land". They lived in many places in Ontario and settled in Oro-Medonte in 1957 where they raised 5 children. Mom was a woman of great faith and instilled her values on all her family. Due to the pandemic there will be a family graveside service. We would to thank the staff of Victoria House for their wonderful, intimate care as well as Dr. Fagan ,the PSWs and Palliative team. The love you showed Mom and our family will never be forgotten! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Arrangements have been entrusted to Jennett Funeral & Cremation Centre. Internment will take place at Knox Presbyterian Cemetery, line 9, Oro-Medonte
