LUMMISS, William

Passed peacefully in his suite at Amica Little Lake, Barrie on Friday January 19, 2024 at the age of 94.  He was the kindest man, best husband and father, and a man who never complained, right to the end.  His love, patience, understanding, wisdom, amazing sense of humour, among so many other gifts, have helped shape our family.  He was loved dearly and brought so much happiness to many hearts.  He loved unconditionally his wife Ruby (nee Trotter), his children Janet (John) & Sandi (Harry), his grandchildren Christine (Paul), Jennifer (Mike), Michael,  Anthony (Erica) & Cassandra and his great grandchildren Ellie, Anna, Lochlan, Charlotte & William.  He was very proud of his grandchildren and would always ask about them.  He is now in Heaven, reunited with his twin brother, his sister, his Mom & Dad and many other dear family and friends.  Special thanks to the Amica PSWs, nurses, Dr. Boushy, and Bayshore PSWs who all took such good care of him.  A Celebration of Life Service and Reception will be held on Saturday May 25, 2024, 12:00 pm, at Grace United Church, Barrie, followed by interment of Bill's cremated remains on Monday May 27, 2024, 1:00 pm, at Highland Memory Gardens, Willowdale.  If desired, memorial donations to Grace United Church would be appreciated and may be made through the Mundell Funeral Home, Orillia (705-325-2231).
