Mark Stephen Matthias peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at St. Michaels Hospital in Toronto. Mark will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
Husband to Gloria Matthias (nee Gowanlock). Dear father to Shelley Graham (David), Rena Matthias, Mark Matthias Jr. (Kaitlyn), Rachel Matthias (Tyler). Loved Grandfather to Taylor and Kyla Graham; Jade Matthias, Shelby and Autumn MacKinnon; Olivia Matthias; Leelynd Matthias-Karras and Skyler Matthias-Heath. Great Grandfather to Cara and Onyx. Predeceased by his parents Floyd Mathias and Thelma Matthias (nee Wallace). Dear brother-in-law to Steve and Melissa Gowanlock. Dear brother to Wayne Mathias (Carol), Janice Cook (Don; predeceased), Dale McCallum (predeceased) (David), Kim Reed (Rolland), Justin Mathias (Valerie), Craig Mathias, Wendy Osborne (Rick), Jamie Matthias (Sam), Kelly Esser (Rob), Carla Bell (Darryl) and Tammy Ostertag (Ed).
Visitation will be held at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia, from 11:00am-1:00pm on January 16, 2024. Funeral services will be held at Mundell Funeral Home, on January 16, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Followed by Mark being laid to rest at St. Andrews - St. James Cemetery at 320 Coldwater Road W, Orillia.
