McCARTHY, Marlene Johanna (nee Lambe)

Marlene Johanna McCarthy (nee Lambe) passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Champlain Manor, Orillia. Wife of Maurice (pre-deceased). Mother of Maureen (Greg), Leslee (pre-deceased), Stephen (pre-deceased) (Terri), Caroline (Paul) and Jennifer (Ken). Grandmother of Kayla (Marcus), Kelsey, Reilly, Sam, Maggie, Liam, Rebecca, Madelyn and Sydney. Great Grandmother of Abigail and Elizabeth. Sister of Eleanor, Caren, David and pre-deceased by Nelson, Joyce, Patricia and Michael. Daughter of Francis and Margaret Lambe both pre-deceased. And many other friends, extended family, nieces, nephews and neighbours and special friend Jane Lee and family.
Mom was a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, volunteer and traveller.
We will miss her great attitude, dedication to community and positive view on life.
Visitation will be held at Mundell Funeral Home, Orillia on Sunday September 18th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday September 20th at 11 a.m at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Brechin with internment immediately following. Family and friends are invited for fellowship to follow at the Brechin Legion.
