In Loving Memory of a Beloved Nana, Wife, Mother, and Friend

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy (Deedee) Elizabeth McConaghy, who peacefully passed away on Monday, December 11th, 2023. Born on April 18th, 1945, Deedee graced the lives of those around her with enduring joy throughout her extraordinary journey.

A devoted wife to Garry (predeceased), a loving mother to Tim (Michelle) and Kim Worsley (Brian), and the adored Nana to Riley Robinson (Brett Duncan), Kieran McConaghy, and Matthew and Joshua Worsley, Deedee was the epitome of warmth and love within her family. She held a special place in the hearts of her cherished sister, Donna (Bill Matz), and Dianna Hooper (Louie Manzone), and was a beloved sister-in-law to Betty Pringle (predeceased) and Edith Bowen (predeceased). Deedee was also a source of inspiration and affection as an aunt to many of her nieces and nephews.

Nana was the heart and soul of her family, to her grandchildren, she was a source of boundless love and wisdom. Riley, Kieran, Matthew, and Joshua were the recipients of her affection, and the memories she shared with them will be treasured for generations. Whether cheering on her grandsons at hockey games or spending quality time with her granddaughter at the horse barn, Deedee reveled in every precious moment.

A devoted animal lover, Deedee found solace in the companionship of her beloved cats and dogs. Beyond her love for animals, she was a gifted artist who found joy and expression in the world of painting. Her passion for life extended to the love of travel with her children or a fun night at the casino.  Her family was everything to her.

To honour Deedee, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 17th, between 2:30-4:30 pm at the Blue Moon Junction (Highway 11, Washago).  May her memory continue to shine brightly in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and love profoundly shared.
Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home.
