Unexpectedly at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the age of 69. John McDonald, of Orillia, beloved husband of Joyce Slessor. Loving father of Derek & wife Leanne, Stephanie & husband Sean Mahoney all of Sudbury and step-father of Cory and Jason Brockbank both of Orillia. Cherished grandfather of Morgan &Vienna McDonald and Emily, Caelyn, Liam, Nathan & Maeve Mahoney. Predeceased by parents Ray & Margaret McDonald. Dear brother of Patricia, Greg (June), Bob, Steve, Kathy (Wayne), Susan (Gary), Peter (Nicole), and Sandy (Krysia) and the late Helen. Lovingly remembered by the Slessor Family, many nieces and nephew and the "Joshua Court Family". Following cremation, the family will receive friends at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia on Saturday, July 7th from 2 - 5 P.M.
