Passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound on Friday, November 24, 2023.
Born in Port Elgin, Ontario on August 16, 1932, Louis William Middleton of Owen Sound, was in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Joan Amelia Middleton (nee Merriott). Loving father of Sandra Wade (Allan) of Oro Medonte and Karen Maluske (Steve) of Windsor and good friend Anne Potocki. Cherished grandpa of Stephanie Anger, Pam Chrysler, Vicki Wade, Carrie Wade, Stephanie Maluske and Christine Maluske, great grandpa of 12 and great-great grandpa of 1. Dear brother of Ruth Pilgrim.
Louis will also be missed by many cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Wilson and Mary Middleton (nee Vennard), his sister Catherine Hartley, and by his daughters Jeannette Middleton and Joy Middleton.
In keeping with Louis’s wishes, cremation is taking place, and a private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492. Those wishing to make a memorial donation are asked to consider Canadian Cancer Society or Brightshores Health System.
