The family announces with sorrow her passing peacefully with her family at her side on February 28, 2022 at Mariposa House Hospice, Severn in her 82nd year. 

Beloved and devoted wife of John Arsene for 58 years. Loving mother of Johnny (Karen and daughter Michaela) of Baxter and Ross of Brampton. Dearest sibling to Evelyn Mac Neal. Predeceased by her sister Glady and her brothers Stafford and Tom. She will be sadly missed by sisters-in-law Mildred, Cathy and Lucienne. She will be fondly remembered by her nephews Shawn & Chris Dolan. 

Connie was an avid poetry writer that over the years penned many memorable poems for family and friends for their special occasions. She was a true lover of nature and enjoyed her daily visits feeding her favourite deer, wild turkeys and crows. She will be sadly missed by friends made with John through the years at country jamborees.

The family will receive friends at Carson Funeral Home, L. Doolittle Chapel (54 Coldwater Road, East Orillia) on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 11:00 am. A spring interment will take place at St. Columbkilles Cemetery, Uptergrove. The family would like to thank the entire care team of Mariposa House Hospice for the outstanding level of personal care that they provided to our mother. For this we will be forever be grateful.

A special thank you to Dr. Peter Daniel and his assistant Lynne for their incredible compassion and prompt response to Connie’s needs.  Also a special thank you to Jacquelyn Young from Couchiching Family Health Team for her incredible support to our family. In lieu of flowers donations to the Mariposa House Hospice www.mariposahousehospice.com would be greatly appreciated.
