Went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Saviour on Friday January 19, 2024 from Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Johnston) for 55 years. Loving and devoted father of Anita (Kevin) Montgomery, Karen (Joel) Kuehner and Marsha (Kevin) Montgomery. Proud and loving ‘Grandpa Sam’ of Sarah, Peter, Nathaniel, Laura, Nicole, Lucas, William, Samuel, Alexandria and Gabriel. Sadly missed, loved and remembered by many other dear family members and great friends. Guests will be received at Carson Funeral Home – L.Doolittle Chapel, (705) 326-3595, 54 Coldwater St. E., in Orillia on Sunday January 28, 2024 for visitation from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm at which time we will celebrate Sam’s life in the chapel starting at 1:30 pm. A reception luncheon will follow. The family would like to take this opportunity to especially thank Dr. Peter Daniel for all of his love and care, all of the staff at OSMH, RVH Cancer Centre, and all of the Bayshore Community Home Care Team for such wonderful care, Thank you.
