Aug. 19, 1972 - Apr. 11, 2022

It is with a saddened heart to announce the sudden passing

of Michael at his home in Orillia on April 11, 2022, at the age

of 49.

Michael will be dearly missed by his mother Eileen Muir of Orillia ON.

He adored his grandmother Anile West, age 89, of Lindsay, ON ; he was

a loving brother to Kelly Muir-O’Brien, Nanaimo, BC ;  proud father of

three wonderful young men Tye 22, Mayson 18, and Aidan 16.

Michael will be remembered by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His many friends will remember him for his jovial character, his kind

heart and big smile.

Michael was a skilled welder, proud of his many accomplishments

throughout a career in the steelworker’s trade. He developed many of his

unique steelworking talents at an early age and was honored that he had

the opportunity to mentor a brilliant young man, Wyatt AKA “Wiley”, AKA his

“little bro” who is now a proud accomplished welder.

Michael’s passion was the steel fabrication for housing, schools, universities,

medical buildings, Cdn airforces, restoration of landmarks & historical buildings.

He was a welder, a skilled welder and proud to be a steelworker...

where he once sparked his welding torch is now a part of his

legacy and eternal love
