Passed away peacefully at Victoria House Retirement Residence, Orillia on Saturday January 29th, 2022, in his 90th year. Doug was born in Hamilton Ontario and predeceased by his parents Ernest and Earline Peacock. Beloved husband of the late Norma Jeanne “Butch” (nee Johnston). Loving father of Mike -predeceased, Don (Debbie), and David (Dan). Proud grandfather of Josh and Brady. Husband of Diane (nee Nickason)-predeceased. Dear brother of Marion Craig (Art-predeceased), Donald (Eva)-both predeceased. Bev Volk (George)-both predeceased, and Neil (Moira). Doug will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, family, and friends and will be remembered for his kind, caring and gentle nature. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the Sundial Lakeview Retirement Residence and Victoria House for taking such good care of Doug.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later time, when family and friends can gather safely.
