(very proud and dedicated member of the Kiwanis Club of Orillia) -

Passed away peacefully, enveloped in the love of his family on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 at the young age of 47.

Dan, cherished husband and best friend of Stephanie (nee Worthington). Loving and proud father of Lauren and Megan.

Dearly loved son of Nancy and Ron Pegelo. Much loved brother of Chris (Pam Chadbourn). Adoring uncle of Judy & Glen Pegelo and Amelia Richens. Much loved son in law of Donna Worthington and Harvey Graham. Fun loving brother in law of Jesse Richens (Holly) and Jason Graham (Shelley Perryman).

Dan’s incredible sense of adventure, love for life and his passion for everything with a motor will be deeply missed by his countless friends that spent time with him fishing, snowmobiling, riding ATVs and bowling in the Thursday Night Mixed Fun League.

For many years, Dan was a welcomed guest at the South Creek and Live Wire Hunt Camps, that is, when he wasn’t enjoying time with his loved ones at his home away from home at the family property in South River.

Dan’s exuberant personality shone with everyone he met. His was always swift to help others, share a kind work and leave you with a smile on your face.

The world was a better place with Dan in it.

Family and friends are invited to join for a time of visitation held at the Mundell Funeral Home on Sunday, August 13th, 2023, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, August 14th, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m.   For those unable to attend the service, you may watch via Livestream, by clicking and registering your device on the following link  https://event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=ec5a7762-ebd1-45f2-ab3f-953e27a32f9a
