Elizabeth Mary passed away after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's at Muskoka Shores Care Community, Gravenhurst, Ontario on January 3, 2022 at the age of 94 years.
Beloved wife of the late Frank John Pettalia. Loving mother of Derek Pettalia, Francine (Robert) Lams and Donna Pettalia. Loved by her grandchildren Michelle (Ryan) Hughes, Jessica Latour and her great grandchildren Noah and Elizabeth Hughes. Daughter of the late Richard and the late Elizabeth Schofield. Dear sister of Jack (Eva) Schofield, Ernie (Kay) Schofield, Harry (Rita & Carol) Schofield all predeceased. Dear sister-in-law to Sosto (Marie) Pettalia, Sam (Rose) Pettalia, Rose (John) Dyni, Mary Figliomeni, Ed Bednarz, Julie (Pete Battista, Dave Barlow) Barlow, Joe (Bea) Pettalia, Peter (Mary Ann) Pettalia and Carmel (Joe) Porter all predeceased. Elizabeth is survived by her sisters-in-law Mary Schofield and Ann Bednarz, many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as the many "adopted" children that she and Frank collected over a lifetime. Liz's family would like to gratefully acknowledge the loving care provided by the nurses and PSWs of Muskoka Shores.

A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 3 pm.
