Passed away peacefully at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital on Sunday November 12, 2023, at the age of 82, with Gary her beloved and cherished husband of 63yrs by her side, of Wasaga Beach and formerly of Coldwater.  

Loving mother of Alan Pipher (Julie), and Sandra Poredos.  Will be remembered by her grandchildren, which were her pride and joy, Karlie Pipher (Dave) and Trent Pipher (Sarah); and Bailey Poredos (Jason), and Blair Poredos (Camille) and their father Boris Poredos.  Dear sister of Janet Hamilton (Late Gary).  Sister-in-law of the late Ila and the late Doug Petroff, Bruce Pipher (late Glady), Iris Beach (Merv Bell and the late Ernie Beach), Ross Pipher (late Gracie), and the late Marina Woodman (Dave) and many nieces and nephews.  Will be missed by her special lifelong friend Joan Fontaine (late John).

Barb was a retired longtime employee of the TD Bank in Coldwater.  After retiring Barb & Gary enjoyed many winters in Lakeland, Florida and summers at their cottage on Gloucester Pool.  As well Barb & Gary travelled the world and made many friends in places such as South Africa, Brazil and Australia.

Barb was a founding member of the Coldwater Shuffleboard Club and an inductee of the Canadian National Shuffleboard Hall of Fame.

The family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Medical Unit of the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital for their care and compassion.

The family will honour Barb’s life with a visitation at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.  The funeral service will be held at the Coldwater United Church on Thursday November 16th at 1pm.  Interment Coldwater Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Barb may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital or charity of your choice.
