On Saturday, October 12, 2019, Allan Pritchard, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at age 84.  Allan was born on April 5, 1935 in New Toronto to the late Walter and Edna (Wake).  On November 9, 1957, he married Frances Allan Kitcher.  Together they raised one son, and two daughters.

Loving daddy to Cheryl (John), Allan (Maria) and Laurene.  He was a proud papa to Branden, Jennifer and Taylor and great-papa to Hunter. Allan was preceded in death by his brother Cyril and survived by his sister Carole (Gord), several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family was the pivotal essence of Allan’s life.  Most of all, he loved and adored his children, they were his world.  He has been a major presence in the lives of his family, never missing a game or event be it hockey, baseball, bowling, lacrosse, football, soccer, figure skating or go-kart racing, he was our biggest fan.

An avid sports enthusiast, he played, coached and watched the sport of hockey, coached and umpired baseball, held a pilots license and flew his Piper Cub, an avid outdoor sportsman and member of the Ontario Anglers and Hunters Association.

A quiet and kind gentle man holding the highest integrity in business, operating his Sunoco service station for over 25 years and in his family life, he was always someone you could count on.  Allan will be forever remembered for his beautiful smile, calming nature, sense of humour, caring heart, loving embrace and unconditional love.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ryan Mitchell, his staff and the health-care professionals at Bayshore Healthcare and Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital for their care and commitment for Allan over the last few years.

There will be no visitation.  Private family service at Glendale Memorial Gardens.

To honour Allan’s memory the family requests you take your dad or loved one out to Tim Horton’s and toast him with a French Vanilla cappuccino or beverage of your choice.  Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia.
