Peacefully at home in Severn, with family by his side, on Tuesday May 11th, 2021, in his 71st year. Peter Ramsay, beloved husband of 43 years of Sandra (nee: Doddridge). Loving father of Michael Shean (Annie), Greg Shean and Stephanie Placzek (Kyle). "Grumpa" and "John George" to his grandchildren Justin (Katie), Ryan (Sara), Megan (Mark), Mallory, Mark (Natasha), Christopher and Matthew. Proud great grandfather of Sadie Grace. Dear brother of Art (Vonnie), Jack (Theresa), Mike (Lorraine) and brother in law of Kathy Doddridge, Linda Baker (Allan) and Errol Doddridge (Sandy). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Peter was born to John and Lillian Ramsay in Toronto on July 21, 1950. He and his brother began Gamma Sales in 1972 on the Lakeshore. Sandra and Peter moved the company to Orillia in 1987 where they continued to work together until their retirement in 2004. Peter enjoyed motorcycling, gardening (he was passionate about his lawn!), traveling and 15 years of wintering in Florida. He will be dearly missed. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date when it is safe to gather. The family wishes to thank the phenomenal care teams at RVH and Bayshore Home Health.
