Our kind and beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather & friend, Lloyd, left us as the sun set on Father’s Day, June 18.

He was born in Fort Erie, Ontario on February 14, 1945, the only son of Bill & Blanche Reid, both predeceased.

He is survived by his wife Diane, children Alyson (Jeremy), Kendra, & Luke (Holly), & his very loved grandchildren, Sara, Andrew, Riley, & Morgan. He had close relationships with many of his Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and extended family who will mourn his passing. He also leaves behind many friends who were like family to him including lifelong best friend, Paul Stillman.

Lloyd graduated from Lakehead University and became a teacher, teaching in his hometown of Brantford, Toronto, Fort Frances, and Orillia. Lloyd chose to stay in Orillia and went on to open Reid’s Frame Source and Gallery on Mississaga Street, which he owned and operated for many years. He was a valued member of the Orillia community, and made many connections in the larger art community throughout the years.

Lloyd was a lifelong loyal fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays, and was a skilled hockey player, playing on many teams throughout his life. Lloyd was a talented artist and gifted musician and enjoyed playing multiple instruments such as the piano, guitar, mandolin, violin, banjo, accordion, and harmonica.

Lloyd was a man of great faith and lived his life accordingly; his wit and sense of humour will be missed by all who knew him.

While our hearts are broken and we will forever miss him, we know he is in a better place.

Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E. Orillia on Saturday June 24 from 6 pm until 8 pm.

A funeral service take place on Sunday June 25 at 2 pm; reception to follow.

Cremation has taken place; interment at a later date in Brantford, Ontario.
