Margaret Robertson was born in Beaverton on October 28, 1932. She passed away at Trillium Manor the evening of Saturday, January 9th, 2021.  The family was grateful to be able to be with Mom during her final journey.

She was the second child of Mary (Dawson) and Arthur McKenzie.  Marg grew up in the Beaverton, Woodville, and Orillia areas, and was the cherished sister of John, Bill and Art (Marcia) McKenzie. She was married to Nelson Robertson, the love of her life, for 65 years.  She was the loving mother of Anne (Fred Kallin), Mary (Wes Harpell) and David (Lanette), and the cherished grandma of Megan (Alexei Svidski), Robert Kallin, Jeff and Nick Robertson. She was a loving sister-in-law to Nelson's brothers and sisters, and proud aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was a dedicated Bell Telephone operator/supervisor until 1963, when she became a full-time mom, devoted to her family, her neighbours, her church, and her community. She was an avid card player and gardener, and member of Westmount Church Women.

Mom had been in deteriorating health for several months, and added Covid-19 to her list of illnesses at the end of December. We wish to thank the front-line heroes of Trillium Manor, in particular the staff of the Oro-Medonte unit, for their unwavering commitment to their residents and their compassionate care of our Mom.

Memorial donations to Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Trillium Manor - Bus Fundraising, or your favourite charity, would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the Mundell Funeral Home (705) 325-2231 .  A private family service will be held due to Covid-19 restrictions, with spring Interment at Old Knox Cemetery, Oro-Medonte.
