Peacefully at Champlain Manor on Thursday September 21, 2023, Joyce Ann Scott at the age of 92. Loving and supportive wife for 67 years to the late Eric Wesley Scott (2021) Scott Silo Construction Ltd. of Rugby.

Mom will be greatly missed and forever loved by her 3 daughters, Linda Woodrow (Tom), Darlene Shoebridge (Garry) and Janet Strachan (Wayne).

Proud Nana to 7 Grandchildren, Trevor Ball, Nicole Bolyea, Graham Shoebridge (Katie), Brooke Strachan (Josh), Kelly MacDonald (Cam), Jill Strachan (Connor) and Cameron Strachan (Justyce). Proud Great Nana to 8 Great Grandchildren, Hayley and Jana Ball, Ben and Carter Bolyea, Tyler & Samuel Shoebridge and Wesley and Gracie MacDonald.

Treasured sister to her 5 brothers Garry Jermey (Pat), Bill Jermey (predeceased), Don Jermey (predeceased), Doug Jermey (predeceased) (Judy) & Norman (predeceased) (Gert). Special Sister-in-law to George Scott (Brenda), Twyla Penley (Gary) and Myrle and Mel Strachan (predeceased). Respected & missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Joyce was a long-time member of Forest Home United Church and choir. She was also a member of the Oro Agricultural Society and judged the baking exhibits at the local Fall Fairs for many years. She played an integral part in the Rugby community for their infamous Variety Nights and Snowmobile Drop-ins. She loved baking, cutting/trimming grass, baseball, ceramics, Daytona Beach and had an incredible kind heart for all animals. Most of all, she loved her family and friends.

Our family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Grieve and all the staff of Champlain Manor for their compassionate care and friendship.

Relatives & friends will be received at Carson Funeral Home, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia on Tuesday September 26th, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Carson Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 27th at 1:00 pm. Interment, Knox Cemetery, Oro-Medonte.
