Peter Seed
(July 13, 1951 – January 4, 2020) - Peter passed away quietly at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie with Nancy at his side, on Saturday January 4, 2020, exactly nine months from his diagnosis of Primary CNS Lymphoma. His cancer journey was filled with lots of ups and downs, but he fought hard right to the end. As peter passed, he was listening to his favourite artist, Phil Collins. What was playing, “Dance Into the Light”. Peter will be missed but never forgotten by his wife of 43 years Nancy, his son Kyle (Carol), their sons Edwin Malcolm and Wyatt Peter and his daughter Ashley-Erin Armes (Rob) and their son Maverick Marcus. Born in Brampton, Ontario on Friday July 13, 1951 to Susan and Lloyd Seed. He was the middle child of five. Lloyd, John, (Peter), Linda and Ann. His many hats included Ambulance Attendant for Alliston, Newmarket and eventually Woodbridge before being taken over by Metro Toronto Ambulance. He remained there until 1987. He then ventured to James Dick Construction where he was a ready-mix driver and then headed up their stone slinger division (1987-1994). Side by side with Nancy they started Seeds TLC in Barrie and worked at lawn care and maintenance (1994 to 2009). During the winter months he would work at Snow Valley Ski Resort as a snowmaker. After the lawn care he went to work for Sarjeants Ready-mix as a driver (2002 -2017). He also joined the Springwater Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter alongside and in support of his son Kyle. Peter brought a smile to just about everyone he met. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. His many hobbies included restoration of Mopar Muscle cars including his 72 Road Runner, 72 Cuda 340 and his pride 1969 ½ 440 6 pack Road Runner. He enjoyed being outdoors and “tinkering” in the garage. When asked how’s it goin he would always reply “Top drawer, can’t complain, nobody listens, same shit, different day”. This would always bring a chuckle to whomever he was with. Another of his favorites was “Livin the dream”. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Peter’s life will be held in the Doolittle Celebration Centre of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595, on Saturday January 11, 2020 from 1-4 P.M.  In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate all donations be made to Hospice Simcoe, Barrie for their kind and compassionate care in his final days
