On April 1, 2023 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital with family at his side Ron passed away due to COPD. He will be missed dearly by his wife of 48 years Dianne Semmens (Van Wyck). Ron was confined to a wheelchair for the past 33 years and Dianne was his loving caregiver.
Born in Toronto July 18, 1937 to Gordon and Rebecca Semmens. Predeceased by his siblings Patricia, Sonny, Roy, Bill, Marlene and Barrie. Survived by many nieces and nephews on the Semmens side.
Remembered with love and happy times by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Doug Van Wyck and Shannon Stevenson and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Susan Burnett (Van Wyck) and Jim Peterkin. Uncle to Gregory Burnett and Great Uncle to Gavin Burnett.
Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at a later date. In memory of Ron donations can be made to the Soldiers Memorial Building Fund - Start today, serve tomorrow campaign or Mariposa Hospice House.
He fought a good fight he was our Warrior.
