Passed away peacefully at Mariposa House Hospice on Friday January 28th, 2022, at the age of 80.
Gary was born in Owen Sound, predeceased by his parents Russell and Marie Vamplew. Beloved partner of Ann Puddy and predeceased by his wife Gloria Vamplew (2012). Dear brother of Jim Vamplew (Betty) and Suzanne Vamplew all of Owen Sound. Loving uncle of Jayn (Larry Woodruff), Julie (Danny Watton), Carol (Brian Frook), Chris Clark (Andrea), Elizabeth (Lisandro Luzza), Great-Uncle of Elizabeth and Edward Woodruff, Robert (Lexy) Andrew and Jacquelyn Watton, Jon Frook, Zachary and Tyler Clark, Michaela and Liam Luzza, and great-great nephew Henry Watton. Gary will be dearly missed by Ann’s daughters, Paula and Jennifer and her 5 grandchildren. He will be missed by his many friends.

A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street East in Orillia on Saturday June 25th, 2022, from 1-3 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, the OSPCA, or Mariposa House, through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E Orillia (705) 327-0221.
