SEYMOUR, Gary Arthur

While surrounded by the love of his family, Gary passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Catherine (nee Campbell) for 63 years. Devoted father of Kevin (Cheryl), David (Denise), and Rebecca (Brad). Proud grandfather of Sarah and Andrew. Fondly remembered by Lindsay, Cory, and Zelina. Predeceased by his parents Stella (nee McIntyre) and Arthur Seymour; sister Connie Fraser (Jim); and brothers-in-law Robert Campbell (Joyce) and Peter Campbell (Elsie). Gary will be remembered most as a dedicated family man, who was the happiest when his family were gathered together. He was an avid curler for over 40 years, playing most of this time at the Omemee Curling Club. Gary served the community in Orillia as a long time, dedicated member of the Orillia Kinsmen Club. In keeping with Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. followed by a light luncheon. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Orillia.
