It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Reg Skinner on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the age of 89. Reg leaves behind his five children, Kathy Skinner (Joe Schembri), Carrie Shaw(David), Colleen Greidanus (Leonard), Kelly Skinner-Meyer (Barry Sear) and John Skinner (Tabatha Duchesne). Grandfather to Lee Greidanus (Kristina), Jordan Engman (Nikki), Maggie Shaw (Jason Kerr), Jennie Hoekstra(Luke), Mitchell Shaw(Erin), Jessie Greidanus (Ted Macher), Luke Greidanus (Scott Harrison), Charissa Greidanus, Vicky Meyer (Craig Belonzo) and Hank Meyer (Meagan Bruce). Great-grandfather to Graham, Andie, Tara, Andre, Peyton, Aunika, Jude, Neve, Wilder, Hannah, Quinn, Remi, Rhone, Pieter and Brody. He was brother to Joan Rosenthal (predeceased) and Bubbles McIntyre (predeceased). He was the son of Reginald Skinner Sr. (predeceased) and Jennie Wilkie (predeceased) and former husband of Carol Chapman. Reg was a long-time Orillia resident who worked for Bell Canada for over thirty years. He was a talented artist and woodworker and loved canoeing and camping. He spent many happy hours hiking through Copeland Forest. Reg loved a good laugh and spending time with his family. He will be missed. As per his wishes there will be no service. A small private memorial will take place at a later date.
