Andy ("Joe") passed away peacefully at Mariposa House Hospice, after a long and courageous battle, on October 1st, 2023, at the age of 66. He will be deeply missed but yet remembered for his smiling face and loving kindness.
Best friend and beloved husband of Angela (Apa) together for 40 years. Predeceased by his loving parents David and Ann (nee Page) Stanton. Loving brother and friend of Steven (Wendy) Stanton and Paul (Karen) Stanton. Andy so loved his nieces and nephews and all their families. Cherish son-in-law of the late Nella (Carpino) Apa and Antonio (Tony) Apa. Much loved brother-in-law to Franca Apa. Andy (Joe) always felt so loved and lucky to be blessed with so many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
"Joe " was so grateful to have had such great friends and memories through his whole life and loved u all very much.
Andy and I were so grateful for the awesome care provided from Dr. Daraei and his team. Also, to our care coordinator Erin who got us everything we needed so quickly and the Bayshore nurses, especially Marlene who brought out the one liners in him and made him smile.
A celebration for Andy (Joe) will take place on Sparrow Lake where he loved, laughed and lived. It will be held at Bayview Wildwood Resort, 1500 Port Stanton Pkwy, Severn Bridge, ON on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 1pm to 4pm, words and memories being shared at 2 PM. Everyone is invited to attend. Cremation has taken place. Private Burial will take place at a later time.
