Peacefully at Oak Terrace on Saturday August 26, 2023 at the age of 94. Beloved wife and soul mate for over 70 years to Tom Stanton (predeceased). Loving and devoted mother of Jane and Barb Stanton. Predeceased by sons Keith and Gregory Stanton. Predeceased by her parents Leslie and Mildred Hawkins and brother Ralph Hawkins. Loving grandmother of Ashley, Cameron, Emily, Nicholas, Hilary, Marla, Sasha, and Jesse and great grandmother to 14. Sadly missed and always remembered by dear friend Kevin Carney, nieces and nephews, great friends, neighbour's, guests and staff of Stanton House. The family will receive family and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Home 54 Coldwater Street E., Orillia, Ontario 705-326-3595 on Thursday August 31, 2023 from 10 A.M. until time of funeral service at 11 A.M. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home. Following the reception the interment will take place at St. Luke’s Cemetery, Hamlet.
