It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sheila Karen Stark, peacefully at her home, as she wished, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in her 89th year, beloved wife of Bill for 64 years, beloved Mum of Colin (Gail), Fraser, Stuart (Andrina), Graham (Helina) and Jessica (Dirk), cherished Nana of Sabrina, Sherry, Katy, Jonathan, Cameron, A.J., Kirsten, and Owynn, Great-Nana of Emma, Alex, Elyas, Jacob, Parker, Rosa Lily, Avery, Gerhard, Asher, Eleanor and Everly, You had such a profound impact on all of our lives and shaped us into the people we are today, rest easy Mum, we love you and will miss you every day!
Sheila had an amazing love for children fostering many children while raising her own family, owned and operated Kiddie Kapers daycare in Orillia for over 15 years, was a long time member of the 48th Highlanders of Canada chapter, I.O.D.E., avid reader all kinds of books.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday June 4, 2022 from 2 – 4 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34 Orillia. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Foundation and will be accepted by Carson Funeral Homes – L. Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E Orillia (705) 326-3595.
