STRACHAN, Joyce Edith (Nee: Ross)

Passed peacefully at Spencer House in Orillia surrounded by family on Friday March 30, 2018 in her 86th year.  Joyce, loving wife to Robert, will be sadly missed by her children Brian (Diane) Shirley (Don) Partridge, Donna (Ray) Klein Gebbinck, and Gail (Ted Bannon) Strachan.  Joyce will be cherished by her grandchildren Lyndsay, Jamie (Sean), Keith (Kendra), Brett (Amber), Brooke, Trevor (Lindsay), Mara, and Mitchell, and by her great grandchildren Garrett, Quinten, Kolten, and Kipten.  Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her brother Thomas (Barbara) Ross and by her sister in law Evelyn (Ross, predeceased) Andrews, and by her brother in laws Murray (June) Strachan, Lloyd Strachan, and Stuart (Joan) Strachan.  Joyce is predeceased by her Sisters Elda (Wallace) Gough, Marion (Bev) Gough, and Flora (Stan) Hull.  Joyce will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Joyce was a supervisor for many years at Corah in Barrie, was a long-time volunteer with the Royal Victoria Hospital Auxillary, and she was a long-time member of Mitchell Square Women’s Institute.  The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday April 5, 2018 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m..  Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Friday April 6, 2018 at 11 o’clock.  If desired memorial donations may be made to the Royal Victoria Hospital Auxiliary, the Little Brick Church in Oro-Station, or to the Alzheimer’s Society and would be appreciated by the family.
