Peacefully at Spencer House on Sunday August 21, 2022, in her 89th year, June Audrey Strachan. Daughter of the late Ralph & Laura McLeod. Loving wife of Murray Strachan (1 month shy of 72 years of marriage). 

Our Mom, our Matriarch, will be greatly missed & forever loved by Gwen Strachan (Malcolm), Judy MacDonald (Hugh), Diane Graham (Gary), Sandra Strachan-Banks (Steve), Wayne Strachan (Janet) & Linda Bauman (Dwight). 

A special “Gramma” to 14 grandchildren. Erin Morris (Andrew), Jeff Morris, Andrew Morris (Emily), Shawn MacDonald, Jennifer Gibbons (Kevin), Katie MacDonald (Cecil), Jonathan Graham (Megan), Whitney Brown (Adam), Zachary Strachan-Banks, Garrett Strachan-Banks (Jessica), Brooke Strachan, Kelly MacDonald (Cameron), Jill Strachan & Cameron Strachan.  Also loved by 15 great grandchildren. 

June will be fondly remembered by her dear sister Lois Galigan (Pete, predeceased); Nancy & Chuck France (both predeceased). Loving Sister-In-Law of Lloyd Strachan of Almonte, ON (Carol, predeceased); Stuart Strachan of Port Alberni, Vancouver (Joan, predeceased); Evelyn & Ross Andrews (both predeceased) & Robert & Joyce Strachan (both predeceased). 

Respected & missed by many nieces and nephews & dear friends Autumn Tudhope (Matron of Honour) & Joyce Scott.

June was an integral part of the Strachan family, farm & insurance operations. June was a long-time member of UCW (Udney) & Women’s Institute (Udney) and a committed volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society. 

Our family extends a very heartfelt thank you to the staff at Spencer House, Selena Holt, RN & long time family Dr. Julie Gallagher.

Relatives & friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – L.Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday August 25, 2022 from 4 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Carson Funeral Home on Friday August 26, 2022 at 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Knox Cemetery, Oro-Medonte.  

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to The Brechin Lions Club or the Canadian Cancer Society.
