It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Barry on November 15, 2022 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, ON in his 71st year. Best friend to Greg Lee of Barrie, ON. Beloved father of Chearie Bettinelli of Barrie, ON, Shawn Sweeney of Guelph, ON, and Lyndsay Sweeney-Ward of Bright, ON. Cherished grandfather of Dallas, Hunter, Cailyn, James, and Aiden. Survived by his siblings Brian Sweeney of Barrie, ON, Linda Sallans of Barrie, ON, Beverley Murray of Angus, ON, Norma Jean Swackhammer of Langley, BC, Jim Sweeney of Trent River, ON, Dale Sweeney of Miramichi, NB, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, Irene and Norman Sweeney, brothers Norman Sweeney and Edward Sweeney. Also predeceased by his wife Cathy Sweeney-Rossi, and wife Andree Lortie Hurd-Sweeney.
