All good things must come to an end.  On International Women’s Day, March 8, 2022, Helen Melvina Tait (Nee: Orton) peacefully said goodbye to this world in her 89th year.

Helen was born in Coldwater, Ontario on April 17, 1933 to Cecil and Charlotte Orton. She was the third of seven children.

She was a mother to four, David (Julie) Heather (predeceased), Dale (Steve) and Sherry (Carey). grandmother to 11, great-grandmother to 19, great-great-grandmother to 2, and favourite aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was a woman of tradition, loved to cook for anyone who showed up at her door and could play cards like a shark.

In her own humorous last words, “If I don’t see you again, it was nice knowing you”. Her family and friends agree...it WAS nice knowing Helen and she will be profoundly missed.

A Celebration of Helen's Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 215 Mississaga St. E. in Orillia, on Saturday April 16, 2022.

Please drop in between 2- 5 p. All are welcome.
