We are so very sad to announce the passing of Corinne B. Thomson into the arms of her Savior Jesus on July 21st 2023 in her 88th year, after a strong fight against Parkinson's and dementia.
She was born in Coldwater in 1935 at Mrs Woodrow's nursing home (now Coldwater Funeral Home) to parents Ed and Arley Potter
She is survived by her husband Ken (66 years) and sons Steven (Sheila), and Bart (Sharyn), sister Beth Stanton (Ray predeceased) and grandchildren Kate, Ian ,Greg, and Matthew.
Corinne attended West ward Public School, Orillia District Collegiate Institute and after graduating attended Peterborough Teacher's College starting her career teaching grade one at Regent Park Public school in Orillia.
She was always a wonderful wife, mother, best friend and great listener, willing to help others. Her interests were being involved with church, Child Evangelism. community, piano playing, singing, camping, gardening, knitting, boating sailing, skiing, snowshoeing, and skating. She enjoyed her many, friends especially “the group” of birthday celebrants and special friends Keith and Louise MacDonald (predeceased).
Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held at St. Luke's Hamlet Cemetery at a later date.
