Passed away peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital with his family by his side on Friday April 15, 2022 at the age of 93.

Loving husband of Maisie Tremain, father of Brian Tremain (Debbie), and Grandfather of Stacy Tremain-Lambrecht (Alex). Brother of Larry (Beatrice) (predeceased), Art (Louise) (predeceased), Ivan (predeceased) (Jean), Glen (Jean) (predeceased), and survived by his sister Freda (Norm) (predeceased) as well as several nieces and nephews. Gordon started his teaching career at Ufford in Muskoka and then moved to Orangeville where he was a teacher and then principal at Princess Elizabeth P.S.

He then moved his family to Orillia where he was a well respected teacher and principal in Simcoe County before he retired from Couchiching Heights Public School in 1985. After retiring, he played golf, curled, travelled, square danced and volunteered at St Andrews Presbyterian Church. A visitation will take place on Thursday April 21st at Mundell’s Funeral Home in Orillia from 2:00-4:00 and again from 6:00-8:00. A funeral service will take place on Friday April 22nd at 1:00 with a graveside committal to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, or a charity of your choice. A special thank you to Dr. Farn and the nurses at Soldiers Memorial Hospital (Soldiers 1) for their exceptional care and support.

Anyone wishing to attend the Funeral Service in person please register at the Mundell Funeral Home website or by calling 705-325-2231.
