VERHEYEN, NEIL JOHN (BUD) (Veteran and Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #34, Orillia)
Passed away at the age of 89 after a long battle with C.O.P.D. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Jean (nee Plewes). His step daughter Christine D’Lugos and her longtime companion Jerry Young. Three step grandsons John D’Lugos and his wife Diane of New Lowell, Craig D’Lugos of Newmarket and Paul D’Lugos of Orillia. Also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father John C. Verheyen, his mother Bertha (Birdie) Verheyen (nee Hawkins), his younger brother William Verheyen and his younger sister Elizabeth Cronmiller, his four older half brothers Wilfred Lewis, Charles Lewis, Mervyn Lewis and Gordon Lewis. As per Bud’s request there will be no funeral service and Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be scattered. If desired, donations to your favorite charity in Lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
