WHITE, Shirley Millicent

It is with heavy hearts the family of Shirley Millicent White announces her passing, at home, Monday March 1, 2021.

Shirley was born in St. John, New Brunswick January 20, 1935 to the late James and Audrey Green. Predeceased by her sisters Joan, Nancy and Georgina; Shirley is survived by her brother James (Eleanor) of St. John New Brunswick.

In 1954 she married James White (predeceased). They settled in the Junction area of Toronto and had four children Tim, Susan (Robert) Battagello, Heather (Nino) Lauro, and Gayle (Stephan, predeceased) Gindre.

She will be missed by her grandchildren Chad, Michael, Maria, Marley Susanne, Dimitri and Jimmy. She was a loving Aunt Shirley to many nieces and nephews.

Before retiring to Orillia in the early 90s Shirley worked for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Ontario Lottery Corporation.

Shirley found a family in the friends she made in Orillia. A member of the Ganaraska Hiking Club, she took advantage of all the nature available to her. She was known for her sense of humor, optimistic outlook and keen sense of style.

Due to Covid-19 there will be no celebration of life.  In her memory please take a walk on a sunny day.
