Passed away peacefully at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, on November 3, 2023. Predeceased by his parents AnnaMay (Launtrie) and Bert Wiley of Toronto. Phil will be remembered by his siblings Marie Wiley of London, Tom Wiley of Ottawa, and Jim and Jill Wiley of England; also, by his niece Claire and nephews, Jamie and Andrew.
Fr. Phil was ordained in Toronto in June, 1966. He served at parishes in Oshawa, Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, and Waubeushene. After he retired to Orillia, he volunteered with the Orillia Family of Catholic Churches for many years.
Visitation will be held at the Church of the Guardian Angels, 115 West St. N., Orillia on Thursday, November 9, from 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Mississauga at a later date.
