It is with a wonderful sense of peace that Laurence passed away on Tuesday April 18, 2023. Recently he celebrated his 70th birthday with dear friends. He leaves behind his wife Michelle and children Christal (Thomas), Mary Ellen (Rob) and Phil (Kate). He will be missed by his grandchildren, Luisa, Sophia, Olivia, Luke, Lennon and Crosby, and nephews, Jordan and Reuben Closs.
Laurence served the United Church of Canada as minister in Muskoka, Orillia and Orangeville before returning to Washago to build his log home.
Laurence would agree “Life is short and we do not have much time to gladden the hearts of those who make the journey with us. So be swift to love, and make haste to be kind.”
Join us to celebrate his life at St. Paul’s United Church, 62 Peter St., N., Orillia, on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023. Visitation from 1 pm until time of Service at 2 pm.
