I am running for re-election as Deputy Mayor for Ramara Township.

I have sat on many local boards including Lagoon City Parks & Waterways. I know our citizens and have listened to their concerns and great ideas. I look forward to promoting Ramara again at home and at the Simcoe County level as Deputy-Mayor.

CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Council will be hiring a new CAO. This person will need council members who are familiar with the entire township and its challenges. By networking I have met three experienced CAOs interested in coming to Ramara.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONSE TEAM

As your County representative, one of my goals was to get better emergency health services. I was successful in having Ramara selected to have the FIRST Rapid Response Paramedic Service in Simcoe County. This team has been providing faster response times to medical 911 calls, 12 hours a day, seven days a week. They respond to medical emergencies by stabilizing a patient prior to transport to hospital. This service brings peace of mind to our citizens where ever one lives in our township.

TRAINS BLOCKING ACCESS TO LAGOON CITY

I have initiated talks with CN and Simcoe North MP Bruce Stanton regarding the danger created for ambulance, police and fire services by trains blocking Road 47 in Brechin. As your Deputy-Mayor, I will continue this effort.

CONSTANT GROWTH MEANS CHANGE

Ramara is in a period of change. We will be hiring a new CAO who is going to need a council familiar with the entire Township, its people, and its concerns. As I have demonstrated with the Rapid Response Unit, we can improve services and reduce costs. With your support, I will continue these efforts.
