No injuries are being reported following a two-vehicle crash involving a Barrie Police cruiser and a white SUV Thursday afternoon.
“We do have officers on scene and from what I am hearing there are no injuries,” confirmed Peter Leon, the department’s communication coordinator.
Details surrounding the crash, which occurred in the intersection at Anne and Tiffin Streets, were limited, he noted, however police got the call at 2:05 p.m.
“The investigation is ongoing and we do have a supervisor there to help. I don’t know any of the details surrounding what happened other than it was in the intersection and there is damage to two vehicles, one being a marked police vehicle,” said Leon.
As of just after 2:31 p.m. crews were called to clean up any debris from the crash, said Leon, noting if the road is closed in the area, it is likely a limited closure until the cleanup is completed.
“Things should be fully reopened shortly,” he said.
