Bradford man faces impaired charges in fatal ATV crash investigation

22-year-old also stands charged with operation causing death, obstruct peace officer, and accident resulting in death

A 22-year-old man has been charged following a fatal ATV collision early this morning in Bradford.

On Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020 around 5:00 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to Line 12 near 10 Sideroad for a report of a single-vehicle collision.

Once on scene, officers located a 22-year-old Bradford man deceased near an overturned ATV. A 21-year-old Bradford woman was located nearby. She was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and subsequently transported to a Toronto trauma centre. A 22-year-old Bradford man was transported to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Traffic Unit officers attended the scene for collision reconstruction. Police have determined that the two men and the woman were riding the ATV when it left the roadway, entered the ditch and struck several trees.

As a result of investigation, 22-year-old Tyler Hun-Pang of Bradford, was charged with the following offences:
    •    Operation causing death
    •    Operation causing bodily harm
    •    Obstruct peace officer
    •    Operation while impaired
    •    Over 80
    •    Accident resulting in death

The accused was released with a future court date.
