There were no injuries in the collision, said OPP official who urged drivers to 'take a few extra minutes in the morning for the safety of our children'

The driver of a school bus has been charged after an early-morning collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 12 and Townline.

"Luckily there were no injuries," said Orillia OPP Acting Sargeant Martin Hill.

Hill said there were two kids on the bus at the time of the collision and they were not hurt.

He said the school bus driver has been charged for failing to yield.

"This is a good time to remind motorists that buses are back on the roads," said Hill, who urged drivers to "take a few extra minutes in the morning for the safety of our children."
