Orillia OPP is investigating numerous incidents of mischief involving a pellet-style gun that took place in the downtown area overnight.

Police were called Saturday to several businesses, residences and construction sites in areas between Couchiching Beach and Davey Drive.

“Sometime overnight, an unknown party or parties are believed to have used a pellet-style gun to damage several windows and vehicles throughout the local beach area,” police said in a news release, noting a male was struck by a “pellet-style projectile” in the area of Front and Coldwater streets.

Police are asking residents who live between Couchiching Beach and Davey Drive and have surveillance cameras to check footage and contact Orillia OPP if they find anything that might help with the investigation.
